Time to clean up your perennials beds! Start with cutting back last year’s growth. Ornamental Grasses also need to be cut back now and divided if necessary. Every couple of years grasses need to be divided so you don’t have dead centers. If they look like this, it’s time to divide.
Early Spring Rose Care
If you have cones on your rose bushes, April 1, they need to come off – No Kidding!! In the next few weeks, as you see your rose bushes greening up, that’s the time to trim back the brown part of the canes (stems) to where the green part starts.
